Wateristas works with landowners, property managers, local governments, watershed organizations, and environmental consultants to assist with their stormwater, conservation, and watershed needs.  For all our projects we are available to lead or support stakeholder meetings and public outreach efforts.

Stormwater Management

Our stormwater philosophy centers around integrating natural treatment systems into our built environment with the goal of mimicking pre-development runoff patterns, recharging groundwater, and supporting stormwater reuse where feasible.  Services provided include:

  • Green Infrastructure and Low Impact Development (LID) Design and Implementation
  • Stormwater Retrofit Surveys and Design Manual Development
  • Stormwater Resource Plans and Analysis
  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)

Water Conservation

Our goal is to provide affordable solutions to conserve water by strategically capturing, reusing, and treating rainwater, greywater, stormwater and blackwater (where feasible). We believe the solution to sustainable water supply management lies within small (decentralized) projects distributed across our neighborhoods, communities, and cities; together they will reduce potable water use, protect our streams, and improve water quality in our oceans.  Services provided include:

  • Design/Build, Permit Coordination and Compliance, System Operation and Maintenance of Non-Potable Collection, Treatment, and Reuse Systems
  • Site Evaluations, Water Budget Calculations, and Alternatives Analysis
  • Master Planning (Urban Greening and Integrated Water Management)

Watershed Management & Restoration Design

Wateristas has practical experience developing and applying watershed assessments, plans, and design solutions.  Services provided include:

  • Stream Restoration Design
  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis)
  • Watershed Vulnerability and Opportunity Analyses (GIS)
  • Site Design, Environmental Compliance Coordination, and Permitting
