About Wateristas

Wateristas is a social enterprise founded by Emily Corwin, a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California (license #78588) with over 20 years of professional experience in the field of civil and water resources engineering and hydrology with a focus on green-gray infrastructure, stormwater management, and water resource planning.  

Emily has experience working in the public, non-profit, and consulting sectors and is a detail oriented project manager accustomed to working with diverse stakeholder groups.  Emily leads development of climate adaptation, stormwater retrofit, water conservation, and water reuse design concepts. Emily has successfully conducted watershed vulnerability analyses, community-based climate adaptation plans, and built hydrology models.  Emily also uses computer applications such as GIS. AutoCad, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS to develop stream crossing and restoration plans and stormwater collection and conveyance system designs. Most recently, Emily worked for almost 5 years leading Conservation International’s Green-Gray Infrastructure Program with partners around the globe.
